Default interview with Hugh Grant. Strange expression

    Hello,
I read an interview to Hugh Grant and I couldn't understand what he meant by saying " I have fat of fish to fry"

The journalist asked: Usually when you prepare a part you read your role, rewrite it and keep to the times - you are very rigorous about comedies. Was it like that for this film (Bridget Jones's Diary) too?

he answered: I'm not difficult at all. I'm an extremely easy, nice actor to work with and it wa extremely nice for me to do this small British film, Really, I have fat of fish to fry..., and I find Richard Curtis ungrateful for his remarks. ( andso on)
    Thanks. Ripley

He probably said 'a vat of fish to fry', meaning many possibilities. If someone has 'other fish to fry', they have lots of opportunities in many areas.

I agree with tdol. It should be:

I have a (whole) vat of fish to fry.

    All the best, :D

Or a 'lot of fish to fry'. If you are reading a script that goes with a CD for learning English, Ripley, there are a lot of mistakes in those.
