    Talking the sentence correction!

Could anyone whose first language is English correct the following sentences?and please explain why as you correct it. Thanks!

If this was the junk product, it wouldn't go to the market and last this long.

Let's make sure we understand the meaning first. As I understand (and it took a second reading):

If this were really such a piece of junk as you say, then it would not have lasted on the open market for this long.

    So:
If this product was a piece of junk, it wouldn't have lasted this long on the open market.

What don't you understand about the changes?

If this (was a junky product)(product was junk), it wouldn't have gone on the market and lasted this long.

Perhaps, but if you look at some of the junky products that go on the market, and end up being sold in bins in the middle of shop aisles for 50p because nobody was buying at the full retail price...
Only the speaker knows what applies.

Ex: If this were a junk product, it wouldn't have been marketable or have lasted this long.
