    In the care

    Context:
While Mother was in New Orleans, I was in the care of my grandparents. They were incredibly conscientious about me. They loved me very much; sadly, much better than they were able to love each other or, in my grandmotherís case, to love my mother.

I think "I was in the care of my grandparents' means 'my grandparents took care of me", not "I took care of my grandparents". Right?

    Exactly right!
I'm not a teacher, so please consider any advice I give in that context.
