- For Teachers
I have a question concerning a sentence. I'm a little bit confused about the following sentence.
In my schoolbook it says:
If payment has already been made please disregard this letter.
My English teacher corrected this sentence in my letter:
If payment have already been made please disregard this letter.
Which one is correct?
Thanks in advance for your help.
rj is correct.
Ask your English teacher, in all innocence and naivete, why should it be plural, not singular? Hopefully, he/she will confess to a moment of aberration (like I sometimes have answering posts at ungodly hours of the morning).
