Default has been training -> has trained ??

Following is the introduction of a person.

... He has taught at high schools, colleges, and private language schools, all age groups and levels. He has been training teachers for 5 years, and has presented teaching workshops.

Is there anyone who can explain the difference if "has been training" is substituted with "has trained", in terms of "feeling"? IMHO, I think the meanings would be same.

    Thanks in advance. :)

has trained - did it in the past but is not doing it any longer.
has been training - has trained (in the past) and is still training (in the present time).
    just a student.

As jctgf said, "has been training" means he is still doing it.
