    be my own boss

    Hi
"I had been wanting to be my own boss for long time"
Is this expression mean that I want to live free and take my own decisions..That means I'm entitled to have some privacy??!
    thanks.

It means that you do not want anyone telling you what to do - that you want to work for yourself and not for a company.

    In my humble non-teacher opinion,
"I had been wanting to be my own boss for long time"
means that you finally got it. You are working at something in which you are second to none.

I think it has nothing to do with privacy.
