Default How can we say it?

    Dear Colleagues

The following sentence is a direct literal translation from Arabic. Could you please tell me how it is said idomatically in English?

We are living these days the memory of the passing of the forty years of the occupation.

Thank you very much for your help.

The trouble with translations, Mohammed, is that it's difficult to know whether what one says is exactly what the author intended. But here's my attempt.

These days we are living with the memory of the past forty years of occupation.[/B]
