Mr. Jones or Mr. Jones II

When I write a letter to Bob Jones II, do I address him as Dear Mr. Jones, or Dear Mr. Jones II? Thanks very much.

If he is known as Bob Jones II, then his father is dead. I would address the envelope as Mr. Bob Jones II, and inside, write
    Dear Mr. Jones

If his father were still alive, he would be Bob Jones Jnr
    (=junior)
