Default When somebody is almost drunk

When I think in French there is a specific term when somebody is almost drunk but I would like to know if you can use another word in English when someone is almost drunk?

Neither completely inebriated nor particularly sober.

We don't really have many words other than tipsy to describe being slightly drunk.

Another word sometimes used in England is merry.

I've had a couple of beers and I'm already feeling quite merry!

    My almost drunk list:

I'm starting to feel it. I'm feeling it.
I caught a buzz. Did you catch a buzz off that killer shooter yet?
I'm starting to feel a little tipsy.
have a fairly good edge on.
glowing. I have a glow going.
He has a couple in 'em.
    half-cut
a little moist around the edges.
    I'm feeling a little Merry.
