    I stand corrected

Dear teahcers, today I watch a sitcom called Two And A Half Men of which something I don't get. here is the dialogue between Charlie and his brother Alan. Alan is gonna go for a blind date.

Alan: Hey, how do I look?

Charlie: Incredible. All men want to be you,all women want to be with you.

Alan:Could you at least look at me before you answer?

Charlie(take a look at Alan): I stand corrected. All men want to be with you...

Alan: Charlie, come on. I'm really nervous here.

    -----------------------------------------------

Teachers, my question is: what does I stand corrected mean here?

    Thanks

    Re: I stand corrected

It means, "I openly admit that I've made a mistake."

    Re: I stand corrected

Yes, in this case corrected is an adjective. Simply put, he is saying, "I am corrected."
