There are quite a lot of aspects of the two tenses in the language. (past and non past, according to some guys)
You must point out which aspect you are interested in at this very moment.

    aspects

    present simple
    present continuous
    present perfect
    present perfect continuous
    past simple
    past continuous
    past perfect
    past perfect continuous

In addition to all these there are a few more which are in use for expressing the future in English

    the simple present
    will form
the present continuous with the adverb of time pointed to the future
    be going to form
    the future simple
    the future continuous
    the future perfect
    the future perfect continuous

Also there are more things such as

    conditionals, conditional, perfect conditional
infinitives, bare, full infinitives, complex infinitives, continuous etc
gerunds, active, perfect gerund, passive gerund etc
    participles
    imperative
    etc

Most of the aspects takes not only active but passive forms as well. ( passive voice)
All the counted things are very interesting for you never know whether you've learned them well or not

Anyway you started with imperative used for the request

Dear Sirs, would you please tell me about tenses in English?

You may continue learning with the next sentences

I have just started to learn English. present perfect
Now, I am learning English. present continuous
I asked some questions to the guys from the forum. past simple
I am going out in five minutes. present continuous used for the decision which has to be done in the pointed future.
I will back soon. will form for the intention

    etc...........

    learner as well
