    Question linking adverbial

    Hi,

Apologies if this is a silly question, but...

With regard to the word 'also', I understand this to be an additive linking adverbial if it appears at the beginning of a clause, but what about if it is not the first word?

    for example...

"My husband has red hair. He also has blue eyes."

If I were asked to describe the cohesive device being used here, could I say that 'also' is being used as a linking adverbial? If not...which device is being used?

Many thanks in advance if anyone can help with this.

    Regards,

    Helen
