    pull somebody's finger

Is it bad to say this or something? Why people frown upon it?
I couldn't find the meaning anywhere

    thanks!

Well, it's not an idiom; It's an action. The act of pulling one's fingers results in flatulence.

    Thanks Casiopea.
But I still didn't get it.

Why is that bad? I am guessing that it has something to do with "farting". Maybe that'll explain it?

The next time you have gas, ask the boss to pull your finger and see what happens next. Actually, no, please don't do that. You may not have a job the next day. Asking someone to pull your finger, unless it's a child asking a lovable uncle, is considered vulgar and rude.
