    Question at / in / on the XXX Island... which one is correct?

    I've been trying to know the difference between
    in the island, on the island and at the island...what's the difference between them....are they all acceptable...
    if anyone knows the anwer, please reply. thanks.

    Verb + at(for example)
    held at the island
    look at the island
    arrive at the island
    (located)at the island
    be at the island (at 5:00)

    Adverbials
    in [the region of] the island <region>
    on the island [itself] <island>
