    Default complement

I would like to know which the complement of "the last thing" is, "someone" or "telling her why she shouldn't be down" in the next sentence?

The last thing a woman needs when she is on her way down is someone telling her why she shouldn't be down.

The complement here is everything following the second "is" - "someone telling her why she shouldn't be down".
