    when to use slept and sleep

    i was slept off when they called me??
    i was sleeping when they called me??
    he was slept off when i went to his house?
    i was tired and slept off when u called me.

    how to use sleep and slept ?

    [1] I dozed off (fell asleep) when they called me.
    [2] I was sleeping when they called me (and so I didn't hear the phone OR and the phone woke me up).
    [3] He was sleeping when I went to his house.
    [4] I was tired and had fallen asleep when you called me.
