    Not a teacher

taught is past participle of teach i.e. teach> taught > taught

I taught English in the School before joining Army.

thought means ideas and past participle of think
    think > thought > thought

I thought you would be knowing about China Olympics.
    (when used as verb)

Yours thoughts are simply brilliant(when used as noun)
