Default How to frame a question

    Dear Teacher,

I would like to understand how to frame a question such that that answer to the question should be the numerical number.

For e.g. the answer should be: Bill Clinton is the Nth President of USA.

    Hope this is clear

Yes, the question is clear. The answer is less so. There's no common English phrase used to ask this. You'd have to spell it out as you have done in your question.

Rarely answered with much success. I couldn't find a single phrase that I liked among that lot.

Bill Clinton is the Nth President of USA.

First, ask yourself what 'Nth' is.

Nth - ranking/position as President of USA

    So, the question:
What is Bill Clinton's ranking/position as President of USA?

    not a teacher

Fairly average, I'd say. He did a better job than Bush is doing!
