    Default automatic

    Hello,

What does "automatic" mean in this context? I find two definitions for this word-1.done without thinking. 2.always happening as a result of an action.

But I am not sure which one is right for "automatic" in this context, so I hope somebody could take a look for me.

    Thanks for your help.

S: Tell me that ain't what I think it is.
M: It ain't what you think it is.
S: Fish. A cell phone in here? That's cardinal sin number one. They can tack two years onto your bid, automatic.
    M: If they catch you.
S: Man, you know what kind of trouble I can get, for just knowing what I know?
M: Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh.
    ...

It's short for automatically, right away, without delay; i.e., no need for timely paperwork or lawyer intervention, etc.

They can tack two years onto your bid, automatic.

In this sentence, it means "no question asked" or "standard procedure in law enforcement "

    Another example:
It's an automatice suspension of your license if you are caught drinking and driving.
