Default What is the formation process?

    Take for example this word:
to opt: It is created by back-formation. The verb opt is formed from option by dropping the suffix -ion.

Then how to explain the formation process for the word to requisition?
Is it backformation? Don't think so though.

How do you come to that conclusion? Try looking these words up in the Etymological Dictionary.
