    hi,
    which sentence is correct??

    - that words make me desperate
    -those words made me desperate

    Your first sentence uses "words," which is plural, so "that" will not work. You need "those," as you have in your second sentence.

    But I also note that you changed the tense, from "make" to "made." Was that deliberate?

    Either one can be correct.

    As Ivan says, if it's ongoing, then use "make" (Every time....)

    If it refers to a time in the past, then use "made."
