    Kindly correct my article

Jammu and Kashmir is simmering continuously for the thirty-sixth day, itís now over a week violence is showing no sign of dying down. It all started when the Governor of the state allocated the land to Amarnath Pilgrims and then back pedaled from the decision. First it was the separatist who took to the street against the decision and now opposition is demanding the revoke of the cancellation of the allotment of land.

    Thanks in advance!

Jammu and Kashmir is simmering continuously for the thirty-sixth day, it’s now over a week with violence (is) showing no sign of dying down. It all started when the Governor of the state allocated the land to Amarnath Pilgrims and then back-tracked ( pedaled) from the decision. First it was the separatist who took to the streets against the decision and now opposition is demanding (the) revoke of the order (cancellation) of allotment of the land.

    Re: Kindly correct my article

-I think you don't say a place is 'simmering'.
Trouble/unrest/conflict/strife is simmering in Jammu and Kashmir or the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is tense

-backpedal = backtrack = back out

-took to the streets to protest against the decision

-why 'allocation' of land then 'allotment of land'? I think 'allotment' is more appropriate.

    - demanding the revocation(revoke) of the allotment order

    not a teacher
