    Smile waste my womanhood=?

An assistant called Mrs. Simpson that her boss can't come to Mrs Simpson's home today. Mrs. Simpson asked why. The asssistant said, " I've wasted my womanhood asking that same question".

I am wondering what 'waste my womanhood' means here.

    Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your answer, Susiedqq!

Could you please explain why the assistant stressed her womanhood here if you know? I understand the context is skimpy so it might be hard.

I don't think it is stressing it - it is much more that the phrase sounds funny.

She sounds exasperated or said it sarcastically.

She has spent valuable adult time pondering that question.
