    intense relationships

    Hello everyone

I'd like to ask about the meaning of intense in "intense relationships" in the following sentence.

An effective sector could function properly even in smaller numbers, if relationships between organizations within and outside the sector were better and more intense.

Does "intense relationships" mean "active relationship", or does it mean "strong relationships"?

    Re: intense relationships

I think that more intense is equivalent to more active.

Likewise, you could say more intensive.
