    Smile redress, compensation, reparation

Hi! Could someone please illustrate the differences between the three words--redress, compensation, and reparation?

    Thanks in advance!

    Default Re: redress, compensation, reparation

Redress - money to improve a bad situation.
Reparation - money paid by country that loses a war for damages to other countries.
Compensation - money paid to someone for what happened to them (can also be used as payment for work performed)
In many situations any of these words could be used for money paid to a damaged person by the one causing the dmage.
