    Dirty diapers?

    Hi,

I'd like to ask a question about a line of the movie Smart People (2008).

There's a conversation between a father and a daughter (Ellen Page).
Father: You can either continue to be miserable, or you can just stop being
angry at everyone and accept the way things are. Allow yourself to live.

Ellen Page: You sound like a stupid motivational speaker.

Father: You're not listening to me. You're not.

Ellen Page: I am not cleaning any dirty diapers.
After this conversation, they both smile at each other.

What does Ellen Page's last line mean?
    Not cleaning any dirty diapers?

    Thanks in advance.

Dirty diapers are baby's crappy nappies.
Is she pregnant? Is she contemplating an abortion?
Is she contemplating marrying a man who wants kids, and she doesn't?

    No, she's not pregnant.
She's just a normal girl who is in a family without a mother.
She's smart, doing good in school, but she's somewhat lonely.
She has to do the housework such as cooking and laundry for her family.
So does "dirty diapers" possibly mean laundry?

Not generally. It sounds like she's not objecting to the laundry as such, but she'd draw the line at dirty diapers. I've got no idea why she'd mention it though.
