Join us = Come and enjoy our company.
Join with us = Come and be like us. (almost religious in context)

Perhaps some people say "join with us", but that makes no grammatical sense to me.
Since "join us" means 'be together with us', "join with us" is like saying 'be together with with us'.

("be together" may mean together physically or in spirit.)
