    on side

Evants around the anniversary of September 11th, 2001 are already underway. Today was the fourth annual National America Supports You Freedom Walk, an event to reflect on the lives lost in the terror attacks. Pentagon employees who were on side on September 11th and thousands of Washington D.C. area residents took part.

does "on side" means witness the 911 attack?

    Re: on side

If you recall, the Pentagon was also attacked on 9/11, and "on side" means that they were actually in the building at the time of the attack.

    Re: on side

It does mean they were there, but I imagine it's a typo: they were 'on site'.
