    Prepositions

    1.Please give your general guide on how to use "on", "in" and "at".
    2.The ducks/swans are swimming in/on the water. I have seen both of these versions used. Which is correct please?
    3. strictly use "at school". = can i use "in school"cos it's in the building.
    4. at the playground = "at" is strictly prohibited? Always in?

    3. strictly use "at school". = can I use "in school" because it's in the building. If you do use it in this sense, then "in the school" is better.

    4. at the playground = "at" is strictly prohibited? Always in? If referring to activities/presence within the playground, yes. "At" could be used to say something like "I will meet you at the playground".
