    【from which】 + 【within/in】


    1 There has been a nation-wide shortage of building materials, from which the trade is only just recovering.
    I think the above sentence is wrong and it should be the following:
    The trade is only just recovering, from which there has been a nation-wide shortage of building materials.



    2 We are very much regret that we fail to complete the work within(in ) the agreed contract time.
    I think 【within】 is right, but 【in】 is right too.Why 【in】 is wrong?
