Question Answering to a recruiter, proofreading...

A recruiter has contacted me for a new position. He just has my CV though he is asking to me a brief account about my BPR experience. His e-mail seems informal and I would answer with below e-mail.

    HIS E-MAIL

    Hello xxxxx,

Good speaking with you just now, here are my contact details.

Before I pass your details to xxxxx, would I be able to get you to write me a small synopsis of your BPR experience with CompanyA please? Clients of theirs, particular projects focused in the banking sector etc.

It will give me a much better chance at securing an interview for you and creates a good initial impression.

    Any questions please ask.

    Regards,

    MY ANSWER

    Dear xxxx

    Thank you for your e-mail.

You are inviting me to talk about a theme that I am able to talk for hours. I conducted many courses at University, about my BPR cases and experience, to master classes whose were specialising in BPR.

As mentioned in my CV, I gained BPR skills in all my previous experiences, even within CompanyB where I analysed all the banking processes and reengineered them to a web way for improving the quality, reducing the cost and achieving the result without the use of personnel.

In fact, even CompanyB has been a start up company, I reengineered all the processes implemented in it. For example, request and delivery of check books. In this case I found solutions for solving security issues, improving the service quality against classic banks and keeping low the use of personnel. Same thing for money transfer orders, customer management, trading on line, personal loans and credit and debit cards. Just one has been the implementation introduced in the bank that was not reengineered from other existing processes, it has been the entire IT bank platform that gave to the bank the opportunity to sell bank services under different brand like Tesco, Bmw, tour operators, etc.

    Other BPR cases.

    ZERO PAPER
An innovative process introduced for financial companies which are dealing in personal loans or mortgages. It gives the opportunity to work out without the use of paper. I analysed and reengineered the entire personal loan process and I implemented the solution adopting workstations with three monitors where users can analyse documents, see the customer request/position and have the desktop available for other uses. I found solutions for managing the process from the customer request to the contract underwriting, solutions for storing the papers, managing customers, retailers and branches, complying with Data Protection Act. Beside this complex and interesting activity, I managed the change inside the company helping managers and staff to jump into the new process, showing and explaining all the positive aspects, solving all the issues raised from the Business Manager and improving the process speed and quality.

    INTRANET
An innovative intranet platform introduced for improving internal communications, document management, internal knowledge and intracompany requests, policies and regulations. I analysed all the internal processes, worked close to the internal auditing department and reengineered the internal procedures adopting the intranet platform. Also in this case, I managed the entire change helping people and staff to use the new system and for adopting the system in all their activities.

    WEB FRONT END
An unique and innovative solution outlined for solving all the issues between front end offices and branches and retailers. This system permits to retailers and front-end offices to manage their own relationships without conflicts and misunderstanding. I cut off the 75% of inbound and 90% of outbound phone calls. In this case the change management, terminated with full success, has been very difficult because even though apparently the solution seems an IT solution, it is a new process really! The solution improved the service and retailers feedback has been definitely positive.

    IT KNOWLEDGE
I managed all my project managing the system integration and conducting implementation through systems such as WebSphere, BroadVision, SharePoint, MQ Series, etc. based on platforms such as IBM, HP, SUN, MicroSoft, Unix, etc.

    COMPANYA
CompanyA has been a 4 years project where I managed changes in all the areas, offices, departments, policies, regulations and third parties. I led the company through all the changes with the result that the company is developed from 28 to 115 employee and the business has increased of 375%.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    With warm regards

    Suggested changes:

You are inviting me to talk about a theme that I am able to talk for hours. I conducted many courses at University about my BPR cases and experience, to master classes who
    were specialising in BPR.

As mentioned in my CV, I gained BPR skills in all my previous experiences, even within CompanyB where I analysed all the banking processes and reengineered them to a web way, thus
improving the quality, reducing the cost and achieving the result without the use of personnel.

In fact, even CompanyB has been a start up company I reengineered all the processes implemented in it.
[not sure what you are saying], for example, request and delivery of cheque books.

Just one success has been the implementation introduced in the bank that was not reengineered from other existing processes. It was the introduction of an entire IT bank platform that gave to the bank the opportunity to sell bank services under different brands like Tesco, BMW, tour operators, etc.

    Other BPR cases:

It provides the opportunity to calculate without the use of paper. I analysed and reengineered the entire personal loan process and I implemented the solution, adopting workstations

I found solutions for managing the entire process from customer request to contract underwriting,

Beside this complex and interesting activity, I managed the change inside the company, helping managers and staff to master the new process, showing and explaining all the positive aspects, solving all the issues raised by the Business Manager and improving the process speed and quality.

Also in this case, I managed the entire change helping people and staff to use the new system and to adopt the system in all their activities.

This system permits retailers and front-end offices to manage their own relationships without conflicts and misunderstanding. I reduced the volume of telephone calls by 75% of inbound and 90% of outbound phone calls. In this case the change management, completed with full success, was very difficult because even though apparently the solution seems an IT solution, it is a new process really! The solution improved the service and retailers' feedback has been definitely positive.

Anglika, first of all thank you indeed for your help, very much appreciated!

I have a couple of questions about your suggestions.

When you do not repeat my text it is because you do not want repeat it or is your suggestion to cut it?

    YOUR
In fact, even CompanyB has been a start up company I reengineered all the processes implemented in it.[not sure what you are saying], for example, request and delivery of cheque books.

    ANSWER
Being CompanyB a start up company with no existing processes, it should not possible to reengineer processes.

    QUESTION
It seems that the above activities are less important of this one. I would change so:
Just the IT bank platform introduced for selling bank services under different brand like Tesco, Bmw, tour operators, etc., was not reengineered from other existing processes.

    YOUR
reduced the volume of telephone calls by 75% of inbound and 90% of outbound phone calls.

    QUESTION
Is correct to repeat phone calls at the end of the sentence?

I have understood where is the mistake... I forgot to write though, it would be:

In fact, even though CompanyB has been a start up company I reengineered all the processes implemented in it, for example, request and delivery of cheque books.

    Is it better now?

It's much better, though I would say "Company B was a start-up company..."

Which is the difference between WAS and HAS BEEN?

WAS = has happened in the past and it is still true

HAS BEEN = has happened in the past and it is not longer true
