    agree

    Hi,
    I wonder about the use of "agree". Please tell me if I used it correctly.
    1. I agreed to take a long-term view of the situation.
    2. I agreed that it was certainly essential to take a long-term view of the situation.

    Yes, they are both OK.
    Of course, you can't agree to something unless someone else suggests it first.
    You can use it in all the tenses.
    I hope you will agree with me that taking a long-term view is better.
    Yes, I have already agreed to that.
    I would possibly have agreed, if he had been more convincing.
