Default The test results: Why false?

I took a test "During and For" and made two mistakes, both seems to be identical.

    My answers are:
If someone falls asleep during a film, he or she does not see any of the film.
If you knew someone during your time at university, you still know them and are in contact.

So is it that a "during" is an incorrect answer and I should use "for" instead or is it that the statements themselves are questionable?

In this case the statements are questionable, falling asleep 'during' a film doesn't mean that you slept through the whole film, therefore we can't say whether you saw any of the film or not.
In the same way, knowing someone 'during' your time at university does not mean that you necessarily still know or are in contact with them.

    Additionally,

[1] If someone falls asleep during a film (i.e., while the film was in progress), then he or she would have seen at least some of the film.

[2] If you knew someone during (i.e., the time that you were / while you were attending university), you may or may not know them/be in contact with them today.
