    Question Funding for TEFL,CELTA,TRINITY TESOL

    Are there any institutions or organization that offer GRANTS or SCHOLARSHIPS for student who want to take the CERTTESOL/Trinity Tesol Certificate or CELTA course or other TEFL courses worldwide?

    PS This may seem unduly cynical, but when I did my CELTA I had to 'fork out' (=pay) the 800+. (The phrase 'fork out' is uppermost in my mind because I heard an American politician last night using an interesting alternative - 'buck up'. In Br English, 'buck up' means something else.)

    PS - I've just submitted definitions of 'buck up' for inclusion in the Phrasal Verbs list; they won't be vetted immediately, but they're 'in the pipeline'.

    I've saved up money to do mine too. You can do them for free as a module in a degree course at most UK universities though, so I assume the same applies in the USA. Not exactly free, but if you're doing a degree anyway, it's worth considering.
