    Question Suggest avoiding doing sth

"I'd suggest avoiding putting your finger into boiling water unless you want to feel yourself how the boiling water actually feels like."

Is such kind of two-ing construction clumsy? (Is in general the sentence correct?)

    Best,

    Yes, it's clumsy and redundant.
"I'd suggest avoiding putting your finger into boiling water unless you want to know how it actually feels." or
" ... know what it actually feels like."
