    worth (2)

Grocery stores, the study says, typically have only three days' worth of food, gas stations need deliveries every one to three days, and water treatment plants keep only one to two weeks' worth of chlorine on hand for water treatment.

    Hi,
Which word/expression could replace "worth" in the text above so that the overall meaning is preserved, please?
    Thanks.

That sentence is not correct; it needs changes in punctuation and/or word order.

    Hi,
The original and whole text is as follows:

Grocery stores, the study says, typically have only three days' worth of food, gas stations need deliveries every one to three days, and water treatment plants keep only one to two weeks' worth of chlorine on hand for water treatment.

My main concern is about the usage of the word "worth".
    Thanks.

"worth" here means the amount available to last that number of days.
