    Smile update

    Please, dear teachers and friends...

    Is it possible to distiguish upgrade from update?
    If so, please, show examples!

    I will upgrade my computer by getting a processor that is faster and more efficient, as well as installing newer software. I shall then be able to update all the data in my spreadsheets almost immediately.

    So upgrade indicates that there is an improvement in something, whereas update indicates that information is brought up to date.
