    left office XYZ

I read the following sentence #1 in the media. Sentence #2 and 3 are my versions. Are my versions correct?

    1. The award went against Sentry Capital Inc. and in favour of Dominion Securities Inc., which was taken by surprise in 2002 when the mutiny left its Abella office an empty shell.

    2. The award went against Sentry Capital Inc. and in favour of Dominion Securities Inc., which was taken by surprise in 2002 when the mutiny left its Abella office as an empty shell.

    3. The award went against Sentry Capital Inc. and in favour of Dominion Securities Inc., which was taken by surprise in 2002 when the mutiny left its Abella office like an empty shell.

    Thanks,

    MG.

    Re: left office XYZ

They insert words that may have been elided/omitted in the original. All three are fine as sentences.
