    Default American accent: plumage

A Peacock taunted a Crane with the dullness of her plumage.
Hello! Is it possible Americans pronounce "plumage" as [pimige]. I mean LU is pronouced as i. I've listened this in my audio file time and again. Thanks!

    Not a teacher at all

It might likely be but I only bumped into plumage - Idioms - by the Free Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia. with the two common ways to say 'plumage', a Bristish one and an American one.

    Hi Philadelphia,

You're helpful. I missed the function of this.

But I don't hear how "l" is pronounced in plumage.

    American: pu:

    British: Pju:

Could you or someone else confirm this for me? Thanks!
