    altogether/ all together

    I dont know how to distinguish "all together" and "altogether", "all right" and "alright" ..

    All together (adjective phrase) means in a group.
    ex.

    After a long battle with cancer mom is back home. Finally, we are all together.

    Altogether as an adverb means entirely or on the whole.
    ex.
    "Your comments are altogether wrong!" - meaning entirely wrong.
    " Even though the trip was very long and tiring, altogether it was a good idea to get away".
