an extensive pool of testing equipment

    Dear all,

Could you please help me with the following sentence:
The organization maintains an extensive pool of testing equipment for various applications.
Does it sound natural to you?

Re: an extensive pool of testing equipment

Without context, I would interpret that to mean that the company maintains testing equipment which is held in a store and made available as required to those who need it.

Yes, as a sentence it makes sense.

Re: an extensive pool of testing equipment

I was trying to say that the organization (a research institution) owns a large number of various testing machines and experimental facilities (like a fleet of cars, but the word fleet seems to me unsuitable here) and is ready (that is why I used maintains) to conduct different types of testing with this equipment for those who are interested.
Does the word pool fit here?
Could you please suggest any better alternatives?
