Does anybody know what the direct object is in this sentence?

Father purchased twenty-five dollars' worth of gasoline.

    father/purchased / worth

"twenty-five dollars" just tells how much
"of / gas" tells what kind of worth

Same as if you had used tons, cans, liters, pounds, gallons

I'd say "gas" with similar reasons.
"twenty-five dollars worth of" just tells how much he purchased
    of the direct object "gas".
