Default place/put/show/demonstrate/illustrate photo in a book

    Hi,

I am now preparing to produce a book with some photos. I am going to ask my friends to send me some photos. The problem I face is that I don't know which word to be use for putting photo in a book.

We plan to (place/put/show/demonstrate/illustrate) some photos in our book.

    I will appreciate your answer.

It could depend on exactly what you're going to do with the photos. If it's a physical paper book, and you're going to glue the photos in, you'd describe that differently from a situation where you intended to digitalise the photos and place them in a html file. They would need to know whether they were going to get their pictures back. That's the main reason you need to phrase it properly. So, you can say, "I intend to scan the photos and send them back", or "I intend to affix the photos to the book, so please only send me photos that you don't want back".

However, a word that works for any situation is "add". "We're going to add some photos to the book".

    Thank you Raymott,

The actual situation is I am asking digital photos from friends thorugh email. I will design the pages with their photos. Now I know that I can use "add". Is there any alternatives for this particular situation.

There are a lot of alternatives. None are better than "add".
"I plan to add photos to the book"
"I plan to illustrate the book with photographs"
"I plan to put some photos in the book".
You don't need a big word for this.
