This version of the film has been remade from (of) the original one in (on) 1951 based on Cold War theme after WW II. The 2008 version film concentrates on the subject matter specifically dealing with (more up to date towards) “Human and Nature” and violation against nature created by human.
Remark : Robert Wise-directed the 1951 version which was made after WWII in accordance with (to) anti-war movement (man against man idea) while Scott-directed the recent version (is) based on human against nature. Scott chose/picked this theme in order to be more contemporary and approachable to the audience. People all over the world are concerned about (care for) global warming in unison, so I think this is probably a right positioning of the film.
This (The movie itself) is a remake version of earlier film which was released in (on) 1951. Previous version has been classified in of-all-time movies. This is a huge advantage (benefit) for the 2008 adaptation.
As mentioned above, this is the reason why current version has done much marketing activities except P&A and Comic-Con 08. There is really nothing on the official website except the atria trailer which is too unusual (quite bizarre) for big budget movie.
Marketing team do not resort to (take) excessive use of (from) Keanu Reeves’ reputation on any print ads which they could have published by his name.
