Lightbulb Some vocabulary from USA 2004 Elections.

Correspondents say it is statistically possible for Mr Kerry to win Ohio and with it the presidency, but it is undoubtedly a long shot.

Q1: What does long shot means?

"John Kerry could certainly help heal the divide himself by being a gracious loser rather than a sore loser," said columnist and FOX News contributor Michelle Malkin

    Q2: Sore loser?

Anger over the lost votes of 2000 is still simmering in this mainly black town of south Florida, where voters turned out massively, many vowing they would not be disenfranchized again.

    Q3: disenfranchized?

    Thanks

In golf, a long shot refers to a hole/green that's fairly far off in the distance, and so it's a difficult maneuver to make.

    A bad loser
