    Dear all,

    system of government and governance system. do they mean the same thing?

    Samphamel,

    As "governance" is defined as "government," these two terms would appear to have the same meaning. I have rarely heard the term "governance" (is it perhaps more common in other varieties of English?) so the first term sounds better to me.
