    Is sentence correct?

I once saw someone who had committed suicide.

Is the above sentence correct in every aspect?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Re: Is sentence correct?

There is some ambiguity because of the word "had". Remove it and logically it tells me plainly that you once saw someone committing suicide.

It is fine, both grammatically and syntactically.

Because of had my poor english understanding understands that you saw someone dead (maybe at the burial or in the hospital) after he/she has committed suicide.

Please someone make it clear to me.
