According to the objectives of the comprehensive development plan, which is giving the private sector a bigger role in the developmental projects, the corporation has made great efforts to enter into strategic partnerships with big labors sectors. These efforts have expanded the partnerships, and contributed in developing and qualifying the national human resources. The agreements, that the corporation has convened with big labor sectors, led to establish 11 advanced institutes:
Saudi Japanese Automobile High Institute
This institute, established in 1422 H, is considered to be a great mark of the long mutual relationship between Saudi Arabia and Japan. The relationship is supported by: the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, the Japanese International Collaboration Agency ( JICA ), the Japanese Automobile Manufacturing Association ( JAMA ), and the Japanese Automobile Distributors In KSA ( JADIC ). The Saudi Japanese Automobile High Institute offers technical training for young citizens graduated from high school. 200 young citizens graduate from the institute per year. Meantime, 18 experts were delegated and 20 specialists were trained in Japan. The total cost, that the contributors introduce, is about 220 million Riyals.
Higher Institute for Plastics Fabrication
This institute is established to support the local plastic fabrication industries by providing qualified local workforce trained on the state of the art fabrication machines towards Saudization of plastic fabrication sector. The absorptive capacity of the institute is 600 trainees for two years – 300 trainees per year –. The two years are divided into four academic seasons. The graduates are given Diploma in plastic fabrication.
The Eastern Petrochemical Company and its Japanese partner – the SBDC- contribute to the cost of the institute's constructions and equipments for 5 years. They also cover the cost of providing the institute with special machines for training process. The total cost is about 370 million Riyals.
Saudi Oger Training Institutes
The corporation has contracted with Saudi Oger company upon establishing and operating 3 training institutes in the fields of architecture, maintenance, and hospitality. The absorptive capacity of each institute is 2000 trainees. The constructing of the first institute in Riyadh has completed, and started training in the very beginning of 1429-1428 H.
General Motors Program
The agreement which is convened by the corporation with General Motors company, that the company has to carry out the missions of operating the training program in 3 institutes specialized in automobile marketing and maintenance ( held in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam ), demands an absorptive capacity depending on the needs of the company and its agents in KSA estimated between 100 to 130 trainees per year. The corporation is, according to the agreement, committed to provide trainers and training centers. It is also committed to carry out the missions of management and supervision. On the other hand, General Motors company is committed to provide the institutes with the equipments and materials. The admission in these institutes is limited to the trainees selected by the company where they have to pass through specialized training courses before they have their jobs.
National Institute for Construction Technology
The corporation has contracted with Bin Laden Group upon establishing and operating 3 training institutes in the fields of architecture, construction and maintenance. The absorptive capacity of each institute is around 2000 trainees. The constructing of the first institute in Jeddah has completed, and started training in the very beginning of 1429-1430 H.
Faculty of Tourism and Hotels
The corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding with the French Accor Group to implement a training program for citizens in the fields of hotel and hospitality – by establishing 3 specialized training faculties in Riyadh, Taif and Ahsa'. The French Accor Group has, according to the agreement, to provide the institutes with the all equipments, and to contribute training the Saudi trainers.
