About the usage of "thingamajig" and "Whatchamacallit"!

I only know that both "thingamajig" and "whatchamacallit" are used when you can't remember the name of something and they are both used to replace the name that you just can't remember~~But what's the differences between the two? I mean in meanings and in usages?

    Thank you very much~~

But I mean, the usages of the two are exactly the same?
Can I just replace the one with the other while the structure of the whole sentence and its words order are remained?

    Exactly. They are completely interchangeable.

    Another term is a "wotsit"
