Thumbs up Re: How to listen English well?

Do you think listening to English music and watching film will help us improve our listening skill?

    Not a teacher,
It is not easy nor difficult to listen English well. :|
I am pretty sure that if you have the two requests below done you will see how good your listening skill is improved.
1/ try to pronounce correctly and accurately.
2/ emerge yourself in English environments.
Note: It might not work if you have some problems with your ears.

Smile Re: How to listen English well?

Maybe it is a good idea to slow down and find something easier, I presume it has to be understandible, otherwise... you may be wasting your precious time.
Maybe you're not used to that accent.
Maybe you are tired or upset, which are factors that much affect the learning process.
Find videos you like to watch, maybe about news or history, documentaries....
Audio files sometimes can be boring. Find something easier and more interesting!

    (Not a teacher)

I asked a friend of mine from Mexico how he managed to learn English (including understanding it) so quickly. He said he always carried a notebook and wrote down everything he didn't understand from reading or conversation and later looked the terms up or asked someone to explain them. Of course, one has to understand the language to some extent to be able to write anything down.

Video discs and tapes are also good, and can be played back if you miss something. English-language television is also useful; you can periodically gauge your progress and also select speakers or programs that are easier to understand. If you could watch the programs with a good English speaker that would be a great help.
